"Heavenly Path" Symbols in Dharan
In the town of Dharan, members of the new religious movement "Heavenly Path", marked their houses with a specific symbol of a spiral and the letters H P. Most members of the movement come from among the Kirat groups (Limbu, Rai, Yakkha, Sunuwar). The spiritual leader of Heavenly Path is Bhakta Bahadur Rai, a Bantawa Rai from Nepal's Udayapur District, better known under his spiritual name Om Nanda. He is addressed by his followers as "Supreme Master Godangel Om Nanda" and known for teaching "lovism".
