Research visit to Dharan, November 2011

This collection contains materials from a short research visit to Dharan in Sunsari District. A Terai town with a large number of Kirat inhabitants. Focus on the ritual knowledge of the Dumi Rai shaman Tek Bahadur who is residing part of the year in Dharan. Another focus lies on the traces of new religious movements and spaces connected to the Kirat and their ethnic identities.
