- According to the myth of the two sisters Toma and Khema, and their younger brother Kakcilipu (as they are called among the Dumi Rai), the sisters invented the craft of weaving on the hill of Tuwachung-Jayajum. The winding of white cotton thread is talked about by participants as "giving cotton to Khema for weaving". In other ritual contexts that are not directly related to Tuwachung-Jayajum - such as certain cinta healing rituals -, white cotton threads are wound around the treated participants.
